President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed what he discussed with Samuel Ortom, Governor of Benue State.

Ortom had met with the president at the Presidential Villa, Abuja over the persistent Fulani herdsmen attacks in Benue State, on Tuesday.

In a tweet via his official Twitter handle, Buhari expressed his commitment towards the security of lives and property in the state.

Disclosing measures to arrest the situation, Buhari said security operatives have been deployed to Benue to “fish out the attackers.”

Buhari wrote: “I just met with the Governor of Benue State. I assured Governor Ortom of our total commitment to the security of lives & property in Benue and elsewhere.

“We have deployed additional security resources to fish out the attackers, bring them to justice, and prevent further attacks.”
